MP govt seeks Centre’s permission to raise an Indian Reserve Battalion for deployment

The Madhya Pradesh government has sought permission from the Centre to raise an Indian Reserve Battalion for deployment in the sensitive areas of the state. Talking to media in Bhopal last night Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government has also demanded an additional CRPF battalion for naxal infested districts. Some alleged Maoist had disrupted road construction work by setting ablaze an earth moving machine in Balaghat district on Tuesday which borders with Chattisgarh.
