MP govt involving women SHGs in the campaign to make State self-reliant

In Madhya Pradesh, the government is also involving women self-help groups in the campaign to make the state self-reliant. The government will provide work worth Rs 1 thousand 433 crore for various economic activities to these groups in the coming days.<br />''<br />''Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that women of self-help groups should manufacture items as per the requirement of their village and Government will help them in providing market.<br />'' <br />''<br />''To empower the women self-help groups financially, the work of making uniforms for the students is being given to these groups at a cost of about 400 crores rupees.<br />''<br />''Apart from this, Rs 700 crore will be given for preparing take home ration and Rs 65 crore for livelihood development. More than Rs 300 crore will also be given for other works including manufacturing of PPE kits.<br />''<br />''During the lockdown period, more than 105 lakh masks have been produced and sold by 20 thousand members of the self-help groups, which is the highest in the country.<br />''<br />''Similarly, more than 90 thousand litre sanitizer and 17 thousand  litre hand wash were produced and sold by the women self-help groups.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister said that the women self-help groups should become role models in generating awareness in their villages and surrounding areas in the fight against coronavirus.</span><br />
