In Madhya Pradesh, the state government has imposed Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to deal with the strike by junior doctors across the state. The home department issued an order to this effect following a high level meeting in medical education department. Health services were badly affected on Tuesday after junior doctors of all the government medical colleges went on an indefinite strike, protesting death of two MBBS students in Bhopal and in support of their other demands.
