In Madhya Pradesh, the State Government has announced its first ever transfer policy for 23 thousand Panchayat Secretaries. According to this policy Panchayat Secretaries would be transferred from one Gram Panchayat to the other on the basis of their request or on complaints against them or due to administrative compulsion. State’s Rural Development and Social Justice Minister Gopal Bhargava has expressed hope that this transfer policy will facilitate smooth conduct of development works in the rural areas.
