In Madhya Pradesh, the Income Tax Department has issued notices to suspended IAS couple Arvind and Tinu Joshi and their relatives asking them to pay up about 135 crore rupees as taxes.According to Income Tax Department sources their unaccounted wealth has been assessed about 280 crore rupees.The Department’s final assessment report was completed in December 2011.Income Tax officials had raided the premises of IAS couple at Bhopal in February 2010. They had recovered more than three crore rupees in cash. The raids had also revealed that the couple had 25 apartments and 400 acre of land. The state government had suspended the couple day after the raid.
