In Madhya Pradesh, Congress MLA from Vijayraghogarh Sanjay Pathak today joined the BJP. He joined the party in the presence of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Earlier he resigned from the Congress party and claimed that he has also resigned from the membership of state assembly.

However the state assembly secretariat said that it has not received the resignation of Mr. Pathak so far. Mr. Pathak had opposed the nomination of Congress candidate Raja Pateria from Khajurao parliamentary seat.
