Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sanctioned One lakh rupees to Athens Special Olympics bronze medal winner, Seeta Sahu of Rewa. This follows newspaper reports that she is struggling to make ends meet selling 'gol gappas'.Fifteen-year old Seeta won two bronze medals in 200 and 1600 meter races in Athens Special Olympics in 2011. Before the contingent for the Special Olympics left for Athens, state's Social Justice Minister Gopal Bhargava had announced that those winning gold medal would be given one lakh rupees cash reward, silver medal winners would get 50,000 rupees and bronze medal winners would get 25,000 rupees. However, Seeta after winning laurels for the country did not receive any reward.
