In Madhya Pradesh, the state government has started a new scheme named Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Upchaar Yojna for the treatment of poor children facing heart diseases. Our correspondent reports that chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the scheme at a private hospital in Bhopal today.AIR correspondent reports that, under the scheme, children facing heart problems will be provided free treatment and surgery. Focus will be given to those children whose weight will be less than eight kg and age lower than three years. Children up to the age of fifteen will be treated under the scheme. Numerous heart deceases will be treated. Thirteen government and private hospitals have been identified for the treatment. They included AIIMs New Delhi, All India Child Heart Hospital Thiruvanantpuram, Cherian Madras Mission Hospital Chennai and Narayan Hardayal Bangalore.
