In Madhya Pradesh, polling for the by-election of Maheshwar legislative assembly segment will take place today. Polling will start at 8 am and will end at 5 pm. There are in all 12 contestants in the electoral fray including Devendra Sadho of Congress and Rajkumar Mev of BJP. About one lakh 84 thousand voters will exercise their franchise. Two hundred nineteen polling booths have been set up. The Maheshwar seat fell vacant after the resignation of Congress MLA Vijay Laxmi Sadho, who got elected to the Rajya Sabha.
