In Madhya Pradesh, the state finance minister Raghavji tabled the general budget of 65 thousand 845 crore rupees for the year 2011-12 in the state legislative assembly today. The budget provides 65 percent more allocation for energy sector,32 percent more for agriculture, 41 percent more for health and 45 percent more for women and child development in comparison to present financial year. In his budget speech, Mr. Raghavji announced that the state government would give one more installment of dearness allowance to the state government employees. After this instalment of ten percent, state government employees would be at par with the central government employees in the matter of dearness allowance.
