In Madhya Pradesh, the budget session of assembly began in Bhopal today. The session began with the traditional address of Governor Ramnaresh Yadav. In his address Mr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has achieved unprecedented success by registering growth rate of ten percent in the last three years. He said that the growth rate in agriculture sector in the state is also more than national average. Mr. Yadav said that this became possible due to the foresighted policies of the state government. Due to unfavorable health conditions governor read out just first and last paragraph of his address. Our correspondent reports that the opposition Congress members were wearing black badges in the House to protest the arrest of their party MLA Kalpana Parulekar.The 44 day budget session will have in all 25 sittings. The state government will present its budget for the financial year 2012-13 on the 28th of this month. For the first time, a separate agriculture budget will be a part of it. The state government will also table a separate agriculture survey for the first time. Several crucial bills will be presented by the state government during the session. The session is likely to be stormy. The main opposition party Congress will leave no stone unturned to put the state government in the dock over the issues like alleged corruption in government circles, suicides of farmers, illegal mining, bad conditions of roads and deteriorating law and order situation. Issues related to arrest of Congress MLA Kalpana Parulekar, murder of a journalist and his family members in Umaria and incidents of gang rape in Indore and Shivpuri could rock the House.
