In Madhya Pradesh, the ruling BJP has succeeded in retaining its power in most of local bodies in the state. In first phase of counting of votes for the 122 civic bodies, out of twelve Mayoral posts, the party has won seven, Congress and BSP two each and independent one.<br/><br/> <br/>
