MP assembly results: BJP in lead

Ten results have come in from Madhya Pradesh. BJP bags five seats, Congress four and BSP one.Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan declared elected in Vidisha Constituency by over 16 thousand votes.

Trends show that BJP is leading in 140 constituencies, Congress 72, BSP five and others three.

In Pushparajgarh, Congress candidate Phundelal defeats his nearest BJP rival by over 14 thousand votes.

In Basoda, Nishant Singh of Congress is declared elected by over 10 thousand votes.

In Kotma, Congress Candidate, Manoj Aggarwal has won by a margin of
over 1,500 votes.

In Anooppur, Ramlal Rautel of BJP declared elected by over 10 thousand votes. BJP Candidate Veer Singh declared elected in Kurwai Constituency by over five thousand votes.

BJP Candidate, Pandit Ramesh Dubey defeated his nearest Congress rival by a margin of 13 thousand votes in Chorai Constituency.

Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan has won Vidisha seat, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is leading in Sardarpura and BJP State President Vasundhara Raje in Jhalarapatan constituency.

National Peoples Party Convenor Kirori Lal Meena is also leading in Lalsot constituency in Rajasthan.

In Chhattisgarh, Congress candidate Umesh Patel, son of former Congress PCC president Nand Kumar Patel has won Kharsia seat defeating his nearest BJP rival Jawahar Lal Nayak.

Sitting BJP legislator Santosh Bafna retains Jagdalpur seat in Bastar. He has defeated his nearest Congress rival Shamu Kashyap.
