MP assembly adourns for 2nd consecutive day

In Madhya Pradesh, the state legislative assembly was adjourned for the 2nd working day in a row as the main opposition Congress members continued to press their demand to discuss the alleged corruption charges against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Our Bhopal correspondent reports that amidst din the House passed five bills. As the House assembled today, opposition Congress members demanded discussion on alleged corruption charges against chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. They trooped in the well and started slogan shouting against chief minister. The speaker Ishwar Das Rohani adjourned the house for half an hour twice. When the proceedings began again, the House passed five bills without discussion amidst heavy slogan shouting from Congress members. Congress members gathered near the podium to press for their demand following that speaker adjourned the assembly for the day. Talking to media speaker Ishwar Das Rohani said that the Congress members’ behavior was unfortunate. On the other hand Congress leader Rakesh Singh Choudhary said that Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan should tender his resignation so that an unbiased probe could be taken in the allegations against him.
