In Madhya Pradesh, the state election commission announced a three phased election schedule for the Panchayati Raj institutions on Monday evening. Voting for the 50 Zila panchayats, 313 Janpad panchayats and 22795 Gram Panchayats will take place on 20, 22 and 24 January. Counting of votes will be taken up the same day after the voting. In all 62007 polling booths will be set up and about two crore 87 lac voters will exercise their franchise.<br/>
