MP allows tourists to accompany forest guards in National parks, Sanctuaries

In Madhya Pradesh, the forest department has decided to allow tourists to accompany forest guards on their patrolling beats in national parks and sanctuaries across the state. AIR Bhopal correspondent reports, the ‘Patrolling the Tiger Land ‘ initiative would open in the state with the beginning of new tourist’s season on 16th October. Under it, tourists would be allowed to walk inside the tiger reserves along with forest guards. Tourists would have to get themselves registered at the gate of tiger reserves. A group of not more than four tourists can accompany the forest guards along the designated trail. During the walk tourist can carry refreshments and take rest at designated patrolling camps.
