A team of mountaineers from Bangladesh and Nepal have jointly scaled a virgin peak Chekigo of the Himalayas. According to the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign affairs M. A. Mohit the leader of the Bangladesh team informed the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu over phone on Wednesday that the team of mountaineers from Nepal and Bangladesh climbed the peak successfully on last Monday. Five mountaineers from Bangladesh and five mountaineers from Nepal successfully climbed the 20,528 feet high peak which will henceforth be called Bangladesh-Nepal friendship peak.
