In Philippines, volcanic activity is building up inside Mount Mayon and an explosive eruption is expected within two weeks. This warning has been given by the Government vulcanologist. The warning came as civil defence officials tried to convince the last residents still living within the volcano's shadow to evacuate their homes.<br/><br/>The vulcanologist said at least 222 volcanic quakes were detected from Saturday morning to Sunday morning compared to 197 quakes in the previous 24-hour period.<br/>
