A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding, MOU between the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Nagaland State Department of Transport and International Centre for Automotive Technology, ICAT, was signed in Kohima today. <br/><br/>The MOU was signed for setting up of the Inspection and Certification Centre (I&CC) at Chumukedima under Dimapur District.<br/><br/>Manager Project ICAT, Ashish Kumar said that setting up such centre will help check the commercial vehicles on safety and emission compliance. He said that the funding support would be borne by the Ministry of Road and Transport and Highways, for the first two years, in which the total project cost for setting up the centre is around 14.4 Crores rupees.
