Mottaki held talks with Dr Manmohan Singh

Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki who arrived in New Delhi on a two-day official visit on Monday to India held talks with the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Monday morning .He is also meeting the External Affairs Minister Mr. SM Krishna . The much delayed gas pipeline project and other issues of mutual concern as well regional and global issues are understood to have been discussed .The issue of terror groups in Pakistan that are targeting both India and Iran is expected at the discussions the Iranian leader is having with Indian leaders . The discussions may also take place on the development of the Chabahar port in south Iran and an integrated railway line to Bam that would provide a direct trade route to Afghanistan and Central Asia from India via Iran. Mr. Mottaki is the first senior leader to visit India since the re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad in July. <br/>
