Mother Teresa's 100th birth anniversary is marked in New York's iconic Times Square with billboards and buildings emitting a soft blue light to honour the Nobel laureate. In Albania, hundreds of Catholics have held a Mass to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Nobel peace laureate Mother Teresa.Men and women in traditional folk costumes, school children, nuns and bishops filled the courtyard of a cathedral named after Mother Teresa, who was of Albanian origin, in Vau i Dejes, 110 kilometres north of the capital, Tirana. In Nepal, a low key programme was organised by the Missionary of Charity. Mother Teresa had visited Nepal several times and helped the poor and destitute.
