<span style="color: #222222;">The Consumer Affairs Ministry has directed Mother Dairy to sell tomatoes at 40 rupees per Kilogram in Delhi through all its retail outlets. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The direction came following the sharp rise in price of tomatoes in the city since 10th of this month. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Consumer Affairs Secretary Avinash K Srivastava today chaired a high-level meeting to review the price and availability of tomatoes in the National Capital. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mother Dairy was directed to increase the supply in the market to ensure that quality tomatoes are available to consumers at lower prices. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Delhi Government's Food and Civil Supplies department has also been instructed to exhort traders and logistic providers to increase the supply of tomatoes to the mandis to ensure immediate control of price rise. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The ministry said, the situation is only momentary as due to the rains the supply of tomatoes in the market, which was delayed, will be back to normal.</span><br />'' <br />''
