Mota Singh attributes his achievement to spirit of resilience of Indians

Britain's first Asian judge Sir Mota Singh said, India, with its impressive growth story in the past six decades, has become the envy of the world. <br/><br/>Speaking at a function organised by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan UK in connection with India's Diamond Jubilee Republic Day Celebration in London, he attributed the achievement to the spirit of resilience of Indians.<br/><br/>He added that it is a tribute to the capacity of India's political leaders and the spirit of resilience of Indians who live in a multi-cultural, multi-religious country. <br/><br/>India's High Commissioner to the UK Nalin Surie said, India should be justifiably proud of its achievements while equally aware that much more needs to be done. <br/><br/>Maneck Dalal, Chairman of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan UK said, India has made giant strides during the last 60 years and there are more university graduates in India now than the entire population of the UK. <br/><br/>Lord Navnik Dholakia, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords; Lord Bagri and Joginder Sanger, NRI Hotelier, also attended the function. <br/>
