Minister of State for External Affairs, Gen V K Singh left for Iraq by a special flight today to bring back the mortal remains of 39 Indians who were killed by the Islamic State in Mosul. The remains were found in a mass grave in Badoush village on the outskirts of Mosul. <br />''<br />''Mr. Singh is scheduled to reach Amritsar tomorrow and hand over the mortal remains to the victims' families from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Later, he will fly to Kolkata and Patna.<br />''<br />''Of the 39 people killed, 27 were from Punjab, four from Himachal, two from West Bengal and the remaining from Bihar.<br />''V K Singh had visited Iraq three times earlier to locate them.
