In Meghalaya, Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries, Sanjeev Kumar Balyan visited Pig and Poultry Farm and Intensive Cattle Development Programme (ICDP) at Upper Shillong today and interacted with farmers and officials.<br />''<br />''Mr Balyan is on a two-day visit to Meghalaya to take stock of the activities and schemes under the ministry which are being implemented in the State.<br />''<br />''During his visit to the ICDP Central Semen Bank, Upper Shillong Mr Balyan said that the percentage of Artificial Insemination is five per cent in regard to cattle rearing which is very low. He acknowledged the huge potential for dairy and animal husbandry in the State.<br />
