<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Parshottam Rupala has asked all Northeastern States to promote organic farming. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking at a review meeting in Agartala today, over the progress of Tripura in agriculture, he said the region has its huge potential by which farmers can earn more. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Referring to Sikkim, the first Organic state of the country, Mr Rupala said organic fruits and vegetables produced by its farmers are sold at higher prices and the state is reaping more economic benefits. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Later, talking to media, the Minister said the State is facing irrigation problem due to geographical conditions. He said he will review the schemes of micro-irrigation to address the problem and extend support to the farmers of the state. </span>
