Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan urged the young movie makers to explore socially relevant themes and new ideas for their films. He was inaugurating the award distribution ceremony of She Short Film Festival in Thiruvananthapuram, this evening. The Minister also requested the young filmmakers to explore the stories of unsung heroes of the freedom struggle. He also congratulated the winners of the short film festival, which is based on the theme of women's security. Renowned personalities from Malayalam film sector also attended the event.<br />'' <br />''Mr. L Murugan who reached Kerala on a one day's visit participated in various events in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram.  The Minister visited the BJP state office in Thiruvananthapuram and visited the family members of the slain BJP workers and expressed his condolences.  After the award function of the She Short Film Festival, the Minister will return to New Delhi tonight.<br />
