Minister of State for Steel, Fagan Singh Kulaste, emphasised on the usage of technological advanced methods to maintain global standards of mineral extraction and improving production capabilities of metals to realise the Prime Minister's vision of self-reliance.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister was speaking at the International Conference on Indian Minerals and Metals Industry in New Delhi today.<br />'' <br />'' He said, country has become self-reliant in iron ore production and 95 different types of minerals are being extracted. He emphasized on the effective utilization of natural resources available in the country with the effective use of cutting edge technologies.<br />'' <br />'' He lauded the Production Linked Incentive scheme saying that it is helping in growth of infrastructure through building of a robust network of airports, roads and shipping ports. The Ministry of Steel also helped the country during the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' Speaking on this occasion, Secretary Ministry of Steel, Sanjay Singh envisioned a target of 300 million tonne of steel production annually by 2030. He sought cooperation of mining industry to come forward and help in exploration of the reserves to improve the steel production in the country.
