The Minister of State for Planning, Dr Ashwani Kumar has called for consolidation of the fast expanding partnership between India and Canada. He told the visiting Canadian Minister for Natural Resources, Joe Oliver, at a meeting in New Delhi today that India is committed to faster, sustainable and more inclusive growth by harnessing its knowledge and potential in Science and Technology. He said, India looks forward to achieving 8.2 per cent GDP growth during the 12th Plan period .
AIR Correspondent reports that Canada is looking forward for enhancing strategic relations for developing clean technology. The visit of the Canadian Energy Resources Minister is an advance preparatory visit for the forthcoming of the Canadian Prime Minister Harper next month.
