Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh has emphasised on aviation safety, infrastructure development and indigenisation of Indian Air Force. Addressing the Air Force Commanders' Conference in New Delhi today, Mr Singh complemented IAF for professional conduct during various exercises like Ex-Livewire and Ex-Iron Fist and for its contribution towards humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. <br/><br/>The aim of this bi-'annual conference is to enhance the operational capability of the force. Air Chief Arup Raha updated Mr Singh on operational status of the IAF, security measures in vogue and the progress on infrastructure development. He highlighted the efforts made to increase the aircraft serviceability and the corresponding increase in flying task of the IAF as compared to the previous year.
