<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Defence, Dr Subhash Bhamre today reviewed the operational preparedness, infrastructure development and coastal security mechanism of the Coast Guard. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During his visit to the Western region headquarters of the Coast Guard in Mumbai, Mr. Bhamre was briefed about the mechanisms used to tackle maritime emergencies such as marine oil pollution, grounding of ships, cyclones. Measures taken by the Coast Guard to safeguard the interests of the fishing community were also discussed. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Bhamre expressed satisfaction at the prompt response by Coast Guard for numerous search and rescue operations and medical evacuations conducted at sea. He also lauded the efforts of Coast Guard, Western Region for the massive resource mobilization towards recently conducted flood relief operations in Kerala. </span><br />
