The Union Minister Of State for Finance. Mr.S.S.Palanimanickam has said that cultural and sport activities and competitions should be promoted among various departments.Speaking at the 26th All India Central Revenue Sports Board today, the Minister said that these activities not only promote good sportsmanship but also sharpen the skills and the efficiency of those who participate in it. Appreciating the rare union of sports and cultural competition, he said that this is a platform to experience the richness of various cultures in regions of the Country.Expressing the greatness of the Tanjore Temple, he said that the temple was built with a unique technology of connecting with curved stones rather than cement.The Event was inaugurated in Chennai today and will be held till the 25th of this month.
