As part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Union Minister of State for Education, Dr. Subhas Sarkar today paid visit to Gulmarg&nbsp; in north kashmirs Baramulla district and led a cleanliness drive there as a part of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on the occasion of 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''On the occasion, Dr. Sarkar said although J&amp;K has a good liquid waste disposal system, however, steps need to be taken for solid waste management.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The minister also directed the concerned authorities to ensure cent percent plastic free Gulmarg upto the next year on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2022.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Meanwhile, the Minister also visited stalls by Khadi and Village Industries Board where he inspected embroidery shawls and other garments.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">On the occasion, he said that the Central Government is committed to give a boost and expand the Embroidery of Jammu and Kashmir across the globe and several initiatives in this regard are being taken.</span><br />
