MoS Dr. V. K. Singh in Rajya sabha, says AAI has taken development projects worth around 25 thousand crore rupees for expansion of terminals

The Airports Authority of India has taken up developmental projects worth around 25 thousand crore rupees over the next five years for expansion and modification of existing terminals and new terminals. Minister of State for Civil Aviation Dr. V. K. Singh informed this in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today. He said, three Public-Private Partnership airports at Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru have undertaken developmental projects to the tune of 30 thousand crore rupees by 2025.<br />'' <br />'' Dr Singh said, the government has accorded in-principle approval for setting up 21 greenfield airports across the country. He said, so far, eight greenfield airports namely, Shirdi in Maharashtra, Durgapur in West Bengal, Pakyong in Sikkim, Kannur in Kerala, Orvakal in Andhra Pradesh, Kalaburagi in Karnataka, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra, and Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh have been operationalized<br />''
