Mortal remains of Sis Ram Ola to be consigned to flames with full state honours in Rajasthan

Mortal remains of Sis Ram Ola will be consigned to flames with full state honours at his native village, Ardawata in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan this afternoon. 86-year old Sis Ram Ola passed away in a Gurgaon hospital yesterday, after a prolonged illness. The National Flag flew at half-mast in Delhi and in the state capitals and Union Territories and it will be flown at half-mast in Jhunjhunu today.

President, Vice President and Prime Minister have condoled the death of Sis Ram Ola. The Union Cabinet also condoled his death at its meeting in New Delhi yesterday.

Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Oscar Fernandes has been given additional charge of Labour and Employment Ministry after the demise of Sis Ram Ola. In a statement, Rashtrapti Bhawan said that the President has given direction in this regard on the advice of the Prime Minister.
