<span style="color: #222222;">The mortal remains of Dr Shivakumara Swamiji, the revered pontiff of the Siddaganga Mutt in Karnataka, was laid to rest, in the Matt premises today as per the rituals of the Lingayath custom.&nbsp; The last rites called as 'Kriya Samadhi' was done inside the Mutt premises, after the body was taken out in a flower decorated cart in the premises. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The state honours were also accorded to him. Lakhs of disciples and saints thronged the mutt to pay their last respects. Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Sadananda Gowda represented the centre. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A wreath was placed on the mortal remains of Shivakumara Swami on behalf of Prime Minister Modi. Several political leaders across party line paid their respects to the departed soul.</span><br />
