The mortal remains of Veteran congress leader and former Lok Sabha speaker Baliram Bhagat were confined to flames on the banks on the river Ganga in Patna this afternoon. On this occasion a galaxy of leaders were present. Bihar Governor Devanand Kuer and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief at the passing away of Baliram Bhagat.Bhagat,former Governor of Himanchal Pradesh and Rajasthan died at a hospital in Delhi yesterday. He was borned and brought up at Patna. Later he joined the Indian National Congress.
