More women coming out to vote in Bihar assembly elections

Women voters outnumbered men in the first and second phases of assembly elections in Bihar. Analysts believe that this trend will continue in remaining three phases of the elections. Political parties and candidates are making all out efforts to woo the women voters. <br/><br/>Women power left its imprint in the first and second phase of the polling in Bihar. In the areas of the third phase of the polling too, women are quite enthusiastic to vote on 28th of this month.<br/><br/>We spoke to one woman, who has decided first to vote and then do other works on that day. Women voters are also keeping secrecy of their vote and they are not disclosing their cards. <br/><br/>There is no doubt that increasing participation of women in the poll process will further strengthen the democracy.
