More than 78 crore COVID vaccine doses provided by centre to states, UTs so far

The Union Government today said that more than 78 crore COVID vaccine doses have been provided to States and Union Territories so far. Union Health Ministry said that more than six crore unutilized vaccine doses are still available with the States, UTs and private hospitals to be administered. The Ministry said, more than 33 lakh doses are in the pipeline.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st of June this year. As part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, Union Government has been supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them COVID vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalization of the vaccination drive, the Union Government will procure and supply free of cost 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to States and UTs.</span><br />
