In Uttar Pradesh, more than 72 percent votes were cast on Friday in 3rd phase of three tier Panchayat Elections. Two persons were killed one each in Ghazipur and Sant Kabir Nagar districts and about 2 dozen injured in poll related incidents in different districts.Quoting State Election Commission sources our Lucknow correspondent reports that nearly 24 persons have been arrested allegedly involved in violence and creating hurdle in poll process in different districts. Polling was held in 207 development blocks spread over in 70 districts. Massive security arrangements were made to insure free and fair poll. A total of 3 lakhs 39 thousand 315 candidates including 1 lakh 37 thousand 175 women are in fray.
