More than 350 Indians from United Arab Emirates have left for home today as India started one of the world's biggest repatriation of stranded citizens abroad, in the light of the Corona virus epidemic affecting the world. Priority has been given to workers in distress, elderly people, urgent medical cases, pregnant women and others stranded in difficult situation.<br />''<br />'' At least three Indians who were stuck in transit at the Dubai airport are also coming back. Nineteen people had been stranded in transit at the Dubai airport after the sudden lockdown had been announced by various countries.<br />'' <br />'' More than 50 per cent of those returning are distressed blue collar workers. Others include, elderly people, pregnant women and their support givers, students and some who were on a visit visa.<br />'' <br />'' There are two flights including one is from Abu Dhabi to Kochi and the other is from Dubai to Kozhikode.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the flight from Riyadh to Kozhikode which was scheduled to take off today has been extended by a day. It will now be taking off tomorrow.<br />'' <br />'' Ambassador Sayeed said that five flights from Saudi Arabia to India have been scheduled over the next one week. Each of these flights will carry back 155 passengers. Around 50 per cent of these are expected to be distressed workers, stranded Umrah pilgrims, medical emergencies, pregnant women and other compelling cases.<br />'' <br />'' The flight from Doha to Kochi has also been rescheduled and will now take off on the 9th of May. AIR correspondent reports that all passengers on the Dubai Kozhikode flight were found asymptomatic and were grateful to be part of the first repatriation flight. Ambassador Pavan Kapoor at the Abu Dhabi airport and Consul General Vipul at the Dubai airport personally saw the entire operation. Medical screening was done for all the passengers who were there to take off. All the passengers were handed over a kit containing masks , gloves and small pack of sanitizers.<br />'' <br />'' Passengers also had to sign a paper stating that they will be in complete quarantine for 14 days after reaching back.<br />'' <br />'' Apart from the distressed workers , there were pregnant women , senior citizens , cases of bereavement , students and some others too. In the coming days, there will be more flights to other destinations in India and more stranded Indians will be back home.Tomorrow, there are two repatriation flights to Chennai from Dubai,<br />'' &nbsp;<br />
