More than 34 thousand people killed in drug-related violence in last four years in Mexico

The Mexican Government has released new figures suggesting that more than 34 thousand people have been killed in drug-related violence since the President Felipe Calderon took office four years ago. The new figures include civilians and members of security forces. President Calderon said the extreme violence by the gangs had turned 2010 into the deadliest year in Mexican history.
