More than 26000 people rescued by NDRF in flood-affected states

More than 26 thousand people have been rescued by the NDRF from flood-affected areas in Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and other states this monsoon season. <br/><br/>It said besides the rescue work, NDRF teams have provided medical care to the more than nine thousand people in these states.<br/><br/>NDRF has fanned out 56 rescue and relief teams to help people hit by heavy rains in various states.<br/><br/>In Bihar yesterday, NDRF teams evacuated 3,400 people. In Uttar Pradesh, 875 people were rescued yesterday. 147 marooned people were shifted to safer places from Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh.<br/><br/>
