In Uttar Pradesh, more than twenty one thousand candidates have been declared elected for Gram Pradhan so far. The first phase of counting for Gram Pradhan, Members for Gram Panchayat, Chetra Panchayat and Zila Panchayat has been continued from Thursday. The State Election Commission spokesperson told AIR that it is expected the counting of first phase would be complete on Friday night. According state Election Commission 78 thousand 122 candidates have been elected as members for Gram Panchayat while 23 thousand 187 candidates have also been declared elected as members for Chetra Panchayat. The result for Zila panchayat will be available after the completion of first round the spokesperson said.The second phase of counting is going to begin from Saturday.
