In Assam, more than 230 villages are reeling under flood in Jorhat, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur and Nagaon district. Rising water of Brahmaputra and its tributaries disrupted road communication and ferry services in the flood affected areas. The Central Water Commission report said that Brahmaputra is flowing above the danger level in Dibrugarh and Nematighat.
