In Afghanistan, more than 15 militants were killed by combined Afghan and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) during separate operations in southern and eastern provinces on Tuesday. A NATO statement issued today said more than ten militants were killed in Tagab district of Kapisa province when an ISAF forward operating base declared an imminent threat and coalition forces used air support to neutralise the militants. Several militants were killed in Nahr-e Saraj and Kajaki district of southern Helmand province during gunfight with combined forces. Several others were killed when coalition forces conducted an air strike targeting a group of armed militants in Pachir wa Agam district of Nangarhar province. The ISAF statement said the group was coordinating the use of suicide bombers within the district and may have been planning an attack at an Afghan border checkpoint. Huge amount of arms and ammunition were confiscated during the operations. Meanwhile, two foreign soldiers died in roadside bomb attacks in southern Afghanistan on Tuesday.
