<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today said that police have arrested more than 100 accused in the mob-lynching incident of two seers and driver of the vehicle in Palghar district of the state on the intervening night of April 16 and 17.<br />'' <br />'' Condemning the incident, he said it could have been prevented had their vehicle been detained by the police on the border of Dadra-Nagar Haveli itself and released next morning. Incidentally, the seers along with their driver were heading to Surat in Gujarat to attend a funeral from Mumbai's Kandivali.  <br />'' <br />'' The Chief Minister said two police officers have also been suspended in the matter and CID (crime) is investigating into the matter. All the accused, including the five prime accused have been nabbed and have been sent to police custody.<br />'' <br />''  Union Home Minister Amit Shah called the Maharashtra Chief Minister this morning to enquire about the incident. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had also called Mr. Thackeray about the incident, yesterday.  <br />'' <br />''<br />'' Senior BJP leader, Devendra Fadnavis has demanded for conducting a high-level probe in this matter. He said, action should also be taken against police who did not stop the mob despite being present. </span><br />
