<span style="color: #222222;">The government today said, more than one crore twenty-seven lakh pads of Suvidha Sanitary Napkins priced at one rupee per pad have been sold through Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country till the end of last month. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said, after re-launch of Suvidha pads a huge upsurge in demand is observed, which is more than five times of normal demand.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' He said Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana has entered into a rate contract with three vendors for procurement of nearly eight crore pads per annum. The Minister said purchase orders are already issued for three crore ten lakh pads. Further ready stock of over 18 lakh pads is available with the Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India.</span><br />'' <br />'' &nbsp;
