Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the present NDA government stands for cooperative federalism and empowering the states to take their own decisions. Responding to the queries of the members about the structure of the planning commission, Mr. Jaitley said that the government wants to give more autonomy to the states. He said there should be least Centre based and more state based schemes to be created keeping the interests of the public in mind.Talking about the global economic situation, Mr. Jaitley said that world has fragile economy and even Chinese market is slowing down. Same is the case with Brazil, Japan and South Africa, however, USA to some extent is doing well. He said all eyes are on India for investment and it has opened various sectors for foreign investment
