In Punjab, 33 results have been declared so far out of total 117 seats. Shiromati Akali Dal, SAD, has won 19, Congress -13 and BJP-5. SAD Dal is leading in 35 and Congress-24. BJP is leading in 7 and others in three. Former Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh has won from Patiala(Urban) constituency while Jeet Mohinder Sidhu of Congress has won from Talwandi Sabo.

Hardial Singh also of Congress beat BJP's Raj Khurana by a margin of 31,510 votes from Rajpura. PPP President Manpreet Singh Badal lost from Maur constituency. Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal is leading from Jalalabad. PPP President Manpreet Singh Badal lost from both constituencies he was contesting.
